MARCH 2009 Lunch Meeting
Bevo Mill, St. Louis, MO

Mac's Old Team met for lunch on Wed 11 Mar 2009 at the Bevo Mill Restaurant. This is always a great lunch with a nice dining room with good food and service.

Mr. Chris Chadwick, President, Boeing Military Aircraft gave us a very interesting overview of all the exciting programs underway and being considered at BAC. A period of Q&A followed his talk. Thanks to Dick Ampleman for arranging this event. A F4 Phantom patch and a Tomahawk mug were given to Chadwick as a small token of our appreciation.

Bob Axtman, Bob Dighton and Bert North were first timers. Hope you enjoyed the lunch and will become a regular.

The usual array of door prizes were awarded. The "lucky" winners were R.. Ampleman, A. Grossman, H. Meriwether, H. Moeller, J. Mohr, R. Mueller, E. Robb, T. Schweickert and H. Vetter.

Our next lunch will be on Wed 8 April at the HomeTown Buffet in Chesterfield. Hope to see you there.

Addition and revision 4/2/2009:
The following letter from Mr. Chris Chadwick, President, Boeing Military Aircraft was received by Dick Ampleman, who wants it passed on to all the Macs Old Team and retirees.:

Dick,

I wanted to follow up and let you know how honored I was at being asked
to address the Boeing (St. Louis) retiree group at the Bevo Mill on Wednesday. I
really appreciated the opportunity to share with everyone what is going on across
integrated Defense Systems (and the bigger Boeing Company), and I also
thoroughly enjoyed the lunch conversation that we had.

When I left to go back to work that afternoon I was extremely "pumped
up"!! The question and answer session with everyone in the room was very
energizing, and it was amazingly cool to see how tough some of the questions
were, and how very much up to speed the people in the room were with
aerospace and Boeing.

I can't thank you enough for the opportunity, and I really can't thank the
individuals in the room enough for creating a company years ago that is still
going strong today and means so much for the St. Louis community.
